What families say
Google reviews of Special Ed Resource from families across the country.
“I cannot say enough positive things about this company and their tutors. My daughter has been a student since covid. They were and continue to be a lifeline to us. We have worked with several of their tutors and they were all excellent fits for my daughter who really cared about her success and were flexible with our needs and schedule. I am so glad we found them and most highly recommend!”
“Special Education Resource LLC have been instrumental in the progress both my kids have made in school for the past 3 years. I feared that online tutoring would be ineffective after the kids spend an overwhelming amount of time virtually as a result of the pandemic. However, our skilled tutor found a way to ensure the kids are focused and engaged through out the sessions. They look forward to them, and now remind me of their class time because of the structure and consistency that have been established. I have recommended it to others in our ASD community and have heard great feedback.”
“This company has helped my autistic daughter a lot regarding ELA reading comprehension and writing. I appreciate all their help and support. It's a great company.”
Common questions from Utah families
Can we use Utah Fits All to pay for tutoring with you?
Yes. Special Education Resource LLC is an approved provider in the Utah Fits All Odyssey Marketplace, and Utah law lists tutoring services as a scholarship expense. When you buy through the Odyssey Marketplace, Odyssey pays the provider directly, so you don’t pay out of pocket and wait for reimbursement.
How much does Utah Fits All provide for 2026-27?
For the 2026-27 school year, Utah law sets the maximums at $8,000 for a private-school student, $4,000 for a home-based student aged 5 to 11 on September 1, and $6,000 for a home-based student aged 12 to 18 on September 1. There is no separate disability amount.
Is the tutoring online or in person?
Online. Every session is one-to-one and live online, so families anywhere in Utah, from Logan to St. George, use the same online format; we confirm a teacher and schedule with you. We do not have a Utah office.
Who are your tutors?
Our tutors are teachers certified in special education. Special Ed Resource has 40+ tutors and has been providing one-to-one tutoring since 2014.
Do you provide speech therapy, occupational therapy or evaluations?
No. We provide academic tutoring only. Utah law lists therapies such as speech-language and occupational therapy, from licensed or accredited practitioners, as a separate category from tutoring, and we do not offer those services or evaluations.
What happens to my child’s IEP if we take Utah Fits All?
Utah Code 53F-6-402(4)(b) requires the Utah Fits All application to include the acknowledgment that “A qualifying provider may not provide the same level of disability services that are provided in a public school” and that agreeing to establish the account “has the same effect as a parental refusal to consent to services as described in 34 C.F.R. Sec. 300.300.” For what that means for your child, ask your school district or the Utah Parent Center before you accept. Our IEP guide quotes the law in full.
